Vimalendu Verma, Founder and CEO

Vimalendu is responsible for guiding the vision and strategic direction for Magic.  He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology (BITS), Pilani and has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry.

After a stint with Unisys Corporation, USA, he ventured into business entrepreneurship, and co-founded Magic Software in 1990. Vimalendu's work has been featured in Time magazine and on BBC TV for a path-breaking development in handwriting software.

His expertise in the field of computer technology was called upon when he advised the Government of India on its IT strategy, as a part of the Prime Minister's IT task force, and as a guest speaker at various corporate forums, including that of Sony, Japan.

Sameer Raina, Vice President, Partnerships

Sameer is responsible for leading Magic’s overall partnership strategy and new business initiatives. Sameer works with Magic’s existing and potential partners along with Magic’s sales, delivery, product management, and R&D teams to create or expand business opportunities.

He has over 15 years of experience in a variety of sales, business development, marketing, strategy, and consulting roles in the publishing and media industry. Sameer has an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management, in Manila. 

Janmejay Rathore, Head - Program Management and Service Delivery

A hands-on leader, Janmejay is responsible for delivery function and program management. He has over 15 years of cross-functional experience in the publishing domain with his most recent role being the head of publishing at SourceHOV.

Janmejay has also held senior management roles with Apex CoVantage, Planman Technologies, and Innodata Isogen where he has led large globally-dispersed teams and partnership networks in the publishing and engineering solutions industry.

He is an MBA, with a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science and is a Certified PMP along with being a Master Black Belt and Certified Lead Auditor.

Sanjay Sundram, Head - Research and Development Group

Sanjay holds a Master’s degree in Design from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the School of Planning & Architecture, Delhi. 

With over 14 years’ experience in multimedia development and eLearning, Sanjay has been associated with Magic since the days when Magic created award-winning multimedia titles.

The architect of MagicCricket.com, a product that received global acclaim and recognition for its unique conceptualization and design for web-based delivery in a low-bandwidth situation, Sanjay presently gives direction to and advises several teams at Magic.
