Our partner, the leading provider of lifelong education with operations around the globe, was looking to provide courseware assessment items as part of their online tutoring solution.

The work involved the creation of tens of thousands of assessment items supported by rich graphics. Magic won the mandate of creating 35,000 assessment graphics. This was later scaled up to a production run of 60,000 graphics.
To meet the impossible timelines within realistic budgets, Magic’s program manager worked along with the design team to come up with a unique solution that amalgamated brilliant process design with unparalleled reusability, successfully executed through an ingeniously innovative method for content management.

To keep the entire project low touch for the partner, and yet meet their design vision, Magic rolled out the project such that the first couple of weeks of the project involved intense collaboration with the partner to come up with graphic styles and perspectives, achieved through a phase of prototyping. These formed the basis for the entire development over the remainder of the project.
This reduced the need for review of batches of graphics delivered daily, each comprising of 250-300 assets, over 120 days, for the first phase of the project.
In the second phase, Magic delivered 45,000 assets, in a record time frame of 60 days and well within the partner’s production budget. In this phase, the Graphics team ramped up to deliver up to 2,500 assets daily and the revision rate was less than 10%.
