Arjun is an entrepreneur at heart. He co-founded the HCL group in 1975, taking it from a six-person “garage operation” to one of India’s largest Information Technology corporations. The first leading Indian entrepreneur to relocate to the USA, Arjun took over HCL’s US operation in 1989 and grew it to US$100 million annually. In 1992 he ran the HCL-HP joint venture in India, and in 1996 he set up and ran the joint venture with Deluxe Corporation. Arjun was the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of TechSpan, which merged with Headstrong in October 2003.
After schooling at The Doon School, Dehradun, Arjun did his engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) at Kharagpur. In 1985, he attended the Advance Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Arjun founded the Prof. G.S. Sanyal School of Telecommunications at IIT Kharagpur through a personal endorsement. Deepening his ties with the IIT system and higher education as a whole, Mr. Malhotra serves as Chairman of Vision 2020, an alumni initiative to raise $200 million endowment fund for IIT Kharagpur by the year 2020. He is also one of the founding members of the society for promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture amongst Youth. Today, this is India’s largest non-government, not for profit, social and cultural organization.

Vimalendu founded and built Magic Software, which today under his strategic direction and leadership has grown to a 500-person, award-winning company and a leader in K12 EdTech. He strongly believes that technology is the strongest lever we have in large parts of the developing world, to deliver quality education and help get hundreds of millions of children a life of basic human dignity and opportunity.
A Doon School alumnus, Vimalendu holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology (BITS), Pilani and has over 28 years of experience in the IT industry, including a stint with Unisys Corporation in the US.
Passionate about making a difference in education because it is the greatest equalizer and the most valuable differentiator, Vimalendu’s work has earlier been featured in Time magazine and on BBC’s Tomorrow’s World for a path-breaking development in handwriting software. His expertise in the field of computer technology was called upon when he advised the Government of India on its IT strategy, as a part of the Prime Minister’s IT Task Force Content Committee in 1998-99, and as a guest speaker at various corporate forums.

Acky is the CEO of Magic Software and a General Partner at Solmark (www.solmark.com), a private equity fund that focuses on helping entrepreneurs grow their ventures into global players.He is committed to the education sector, and has been instrumental in making investments in Magic Software (www.magicsw.com, a 500 person company dedicated to the cause of education for over 25 years) through Solmark.
Acky brings renewed focus to Magic Software’s global expertise in technology, and leverages its in-house intellectual property to build industry solutions for digital mobile content production and distribution in the learning business. In his vision, he sees Magic play a significant role in the education sector as the supply and demand side of digital mobile content come together to deliver better learning efficacies.
He started his career in the Information Technology business with HCL, Acky led a successful launch of the first home PC (Beanstalk, HCL) in India, with a wide range of gaming and learning content through retail consumer markets.
Over the past decade, he was instrumental in building a financial services technology and operations business (www.headstrong.com New York), leveraging technology to create new levels of efficiencies to launch industry utilities/solutions in capital markets globally.
Acky is based in New York, and is an Executive MBA from the Stern School of Business, New York University. He graduated from Mumbai University where he did an undergraduate degree in Accountancy and Finance followed by a Masters in Management Studies.

With over two decades of global experience in the IT industry, Anuraj Soni is the COO at Magic Software. With a clear vision for the business and a focus on the key business initiatives, he leads teams at Magic to drive operational efficiency and strong execution.
In his last role, Anuraj served as Vice President at Headstrong, a Genpact company, where he built a robust and scalable international software delivery organization. Anuraj was recognized as the leader for his knowledge and understanding in building Headstrong's leadership in Capital Markets domain.
Prior to joining Headstrong in 2004, Anuraj worked for Bank of America in New York as Vice President where he was responsible for delivering compliance IT solutions. As Vice President with Goldman Sachs in New York he was responsible for rolling out their Investment Management Suite.
Anuraj holds a Bachelor's in Computer Science from NIT Kurukshetra, a Masters in Distributed Computing from New York University, and a Masters in Psychology.
