Pearson, one of the largest education publishers in the world, was looking to build a product platform called Bug Club to teach phonics to early readers. Bug Club’s objective was to present a fresh and modern approach to inspire love of reading through a range of characters and genre that appeals to learners, and enhanced with rewards, games, quizzes, and teacher resources.
As the preferred content development partner for Pearson in United Kingdom and Australia, Magic was a natural choice to develop significant parts of Bug Club content, including the front end content for learners, teachers and administrators.
Bug Club is recognized as a truly successful global phonics product with over 200,000 registered users in over 5 countries. The product has also won awards including the ‘Best Use of Multimedia’ award at the British Book Design and Production Awards.
